Lia Pa’apa’a is a Samoan/Native American woman who works across Australia as a Festival Director Community Arts practitioner. Lia has spent the last 6 years working on Pacific and Indigenous Festivals and projects in urban, regional and remote Australia.  Lia’s innovative practice has a strong focus on Community Cultural Development, contemporary identity and excellence.  Her diverse experiences has allowed Lia to develop her skills as a leading event director and producer of Cultural Arts Festivals and projects.

Lia manages and leads the CPAF team from the remote community of Borroloola in NT where she lives and works for Artback NT to deliver a Traditional Dance program and festival.  Lia is committed to developing best practice models and processes for CPAF to continue to grow and develop as a national platform for Pacific Australian artists and communities.
