Thelma Thomas-Lesianawai (MC Trey) is a cultural producer, hip hop artist and community development worker. She is of Fijian ancestry with links to Ra, Bau and Savusavu.
Her current and previous career roles explore identity, culture and belonging. Her previous roles include creative workshop coordinator, facilitator, writer, visual artist, theatre practitioner, events manager, TV host, rapper and singer, with performances around Australia, New Zealand, Fiji, USA, UK and Japan.
Thelma’s musical work has earned her an ARIA nomination with group ‘Foreign Heights’. She is currently based at the Australian Museum as part of the Cultural Collections team.
